Rigolet Salmon Festival

A Rigolet Tradition Aug 7 - Aug 9 2025

Celebrate the rich culture and traditions of the Inuit community at the annual Rigolet Salmon Festival, held the first weekend in August. Situated alongside the picturesque Net Loft Museum, the festival offers visitors the chance to enjoy beautiful weather, breathtaking scenery, and a week full of lively events.

The festivities kick off with a vibrant parade and opening ceremonies, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. Throughout the week, there’s something for everyone, including:

  • Step and Square Dancing
  • Strong Man/Woman Competitions
  • Fear Factor Challenges (ages 16+)
  • Games and entertainment for all ages

End your festival experience with a community feast of traditionally prepared salmon, followed by closing ceremonies, bringing together locals and visitors in a shared celebration of heritage.

Traveling from Goose Bay? Catch the ferry on Friday night and arrive in Rigolet on Saturday morning, just in time for the main events.

Join them at the Rigolet Salmon Festival, where culture, tradition, and community come alive.
