Our names are Byron Alexander and Jasmine Jesso. We are a Mikmaw couple living on the west coast of Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland). We feel strongly about food sovereignty and self sufficiency. We hunt & fish with the seasons, grow our own food and forage the rest from the land. By living this lifestyle, we have come to realize that our connection to ourselves, the land and Mother Earth starts with our food supply. When we reconnect with Nature, we are able to regain balance in our bodies, minds and spirits.
Join us as we learn about medicinal plants and wild edibles, and to Honor our Mother and the Creator with respect and gratitude for the beautiful abundance of things they offer us.
