Want to celebrate a business owner, artist or champion of Indigenous tourism in our region? Nominations are now closed and the awards ceremony will take place at the AITS Gala, May 11th, Marble Mountain, Steady Brook, NL.

Atlantic Indigenous Tourism Entrepreneur Award
This award highlights the significant accomplishments of Indigenous entrepreneurs who have successfully started, operated, and grown their tourism business within Atlantic Canada.

Atlantic Indigenous Community Enterprise Award
This award focuses on the work of Indigenous leaders, their communities and their governments do to develop opportunities to build quality tourism capacity. It celebrates how community enterprises engage Indigenous people and create socio-economic opportunities for their community members while promoting their culture, language, and heritage.

Atlantic Indigenous Youth Tourism Award
This award honors the valuable contributions Indigenous youth provide when they are involved with tourism. Whether they are creating or sharing experiences, we want to commend their efforts in revitalizing and sustaining culture and traditions. Youth are the future of Indigenous tourism.

Atlantic Indigenous Cultural Tourism Experience Award
This award elevates Indigenous cultural tourism experiences that touch the hearts, minds and souls of people from around the world. It recognizes the hard work, creativity, and efforts that immersive cultural experience providers contribute to cultural revitalization.

Atlantic Indigenous Tourism Champion Award
This award showcases the true impact of individuals, teams, and organizations when they believe in the power of supporting and working with Indigenous people through Indigenous tourism efforts. These are the “Champions” or the “Allies” that enable the growth of Indigenous tourism in Atlantic Canada whether it be on a community, provincial, Atlantic, or Industry scale.

Atlantic Indigenous Artist Award
This award celebrates the talented Indigenous artists. This includes various mediums such as, visual, literary, performance and beyond. It highlights the contribution to sharing Indigenous art with communities and visitors alike in traditional, modern, and contemporary ways.

Atlantic Indigenous Cultural Tourism Event Award
This award recognizes festivals and events that help to build and strengthen the authentic history, culture, language, and traditional values of Indigenous people of the Atlantic Region.
